Establishing peace PM’s top priority: Hamza

LAHORE - PML-N MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that establishing peace in the country was the top priority of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. “The PM would not rest until establishing permanent peace whether trough dialogue or military operation,” he added.
He said that the country would soon witness a huge some of foreign investment amounting to 32 billion dollars which would bring an economic revolution in the country. He expressed these views while addressing as the chief guest at the 16th annual Mufti Muhammad Hussain Naeemi Seminar and 5th annual Urs of Dr Sarfraz Naeemi Shaheed, at Jamia Naeemia here on Saturday. The function was scheduled to be graced by Shahbaz Sharif, but Hamza Shahbaz attended the seminar as the CM was busy in some important official matters. Noted scholar and TV anchor Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain was scheduled to preside over the function but he too, could not reach owing to certain pressing engagements.
Hamza said a high-level delegation of Ahl-e-Sunnat leaders would soon meet the prime minister to apprise him about various issues and put forth their proposals. He paid glowing tributes to Mufti Muhammad Hussain Naeemi and Dr Sarfraz Naeemi Shaheed, and said their services for the country could never be forgotten.
In his welcome address, Raghib Hussain Naeemi criticised the government’s failure for eliminating the menace of Taliban and what he called the over indulgence in meaningless talks when the terrorists were not ready to acknowledge the country’s constitution. He warned against the secret patronage given to certain banned and terror organisations by some government officials and political quarters. He said that such policies would bring more disasters for the country. He said that the whole country is suffering from confusion as the government failed to adopt a clear course of action regarding Taliban. He said peaceful moderate leaders like Dr Sarfraz Naeemi and others sacrificed their lives for opposing extremism and terrorism in the country. He demanded the government to review its foreign and internal policies.
Sunni Tehrik chief Sarwat Ejaz Qadri said that generations of those who opposed the creation of Pakistan are now engaged in terrorism. Sunni Ittehad Council chairman Hamid Raza Qadri said that no revolution could benefit the country without eliminating terrorists and their patrons.
Senior journalists including Hamid Mir, Irshad Arif, Sohail Warraich, Orya Maqbool Jan, Azeem M Mian, Mehtab Khan, besides former chairman Quran Board Punjab, Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Sialvi, Pir Khalilur Rehman Chishti and Mehfoozur Rehman Naeemi also addressed on the occasion.
MNA Pervaiz Malik, Mohsin Latif, Federal Minister Ata Maneka, provincial ministers Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Imran Shah Wali, MPAs Khwaja Imran Nazir, Birjees Tahir, Pir Mehfooz Mashadi, Mansha Butt, Ghayasuddin and others were also present on the occasion.
