PESHAWAR – The Awami National Party (ANP) has refused to make an electoral alliance with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the forthcoming general elections.
Talking to newsmen on Saturday, senior leader of ANP Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour said his party respected President Asif Ali Zardari, but it was impossible to make electoral alliance with the PPP in the upcoming elections. However, Bilour did not disclose the reason behind the refusal. But he said the coalition could be made with the PPP in formation of government after the elections.
Replying to a question about his party’s alliance with other political parties, he said the ANP leadership would make any decision on the mater.
