Lahore- At least 29 more workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were released on bail in Lahore today.
According to the media, a local magistrate accepted bail applications of 29 activists and ordered their release against furnishing of surety bonds of Rs.100,000 each. The accused were sent to jail on judicial remand yesterday. At least 136 workers of PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) were released on Monday after Lahore’s Sessions Court and the Islamabad’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) separately granted bail to them. The accused were involved in attack on state buildings in Islamabad Red Zone, including state-run Pakistan Television (PTV).
