Edu promotion govt’s top priority: Kh Asif

100 KMSMC docs awarded degrees

Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power Khawaja Asif has said that the promotion of education is the top priority of the government and it is making efforts for the purpose.
He was addressing a prize distribution ceremony held for the first batch of 100 male and female doctors held at Kh M Safdar Medical College (KMSMC) Sialkot. The federal minister greeted the doctors, their parents and the management of KMSMC for their success. He urged the doctors and paramedics to utilise their energies to serve the ailing humanity with full devotion and dedication touching the heights of excellence of their sacred profession.
He said that the medical colleges have successfully been playing a pivotal role in providing international standard education.
He also pledged to make the Sialkot as a model developed district of the country. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has finally approved a mega project of establishing Ring Road around the Sialkot city following the future needs of the people.
He said that a Rs11 billion would be spent on the project and it would be completed in a stipulated period of two years after its start. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will lay the foundation stone of Sialkot-Lahore Motorway within next two months.
He announced early establishment of an Engineering Center of Excellence near Head Marala-Sialkot for providing the advanced skill developmental education of graduation and post graduation levels. He said that the government has put the country on the highway to national development and economic stability.
He said that the nation has made a fabulous development in every sphere of life during the last three years, which had not made during the last 68 years. He said that there are several inner and outer conspiracies in the way of CPEC project. He said that CPEC would definitely change the economical fate of the country.
He said that government would control loadshedding of electricity within the next two years. He said that now the foreign investors are looking at Pakistan with fresh eyes and ready to bring maximum investment in Pakistan.
Khawaja Salman Rafiq, advisor to Punjab CM, MPAs Tariq Akhtar Subhani, Arshad Javaid Warraich, Ch Mohsin Ashraf, Ch M Ikram, Manshaullah, Rana Liaqat and Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) Chairman Malik Ashraf were also present.
Earlier, the federal minister distributed degrees, prizes with accolades to the brilliant students. Dr Akasha Islam clinched 15 gold medals with other accolades for her amazing performance.
