'55 pc prefer out-of-court settlements

ISLAMABAD (INP) - A survey has revealed that more than half of the people of Pakistan prefer an out-of-court settlement to solve their disputes. The results of Gilani Research Foundation Survey, carried out by Gallup Pakistan, revealed that more than half (55%) of the people prefer an out-of-court settlement of their disputes. In the survey, a nationally representative sample of men and women across the country were asked to voice their opinion on engagement with the judicial system. The respondents were asked whether you prefer an out-of-court settlement to solve your disputes, or otherwise? Fifty-five per cent of the Pakistanis responded that they would prefer an out-of-court settlement, while 44 per cent are opposed to the idea and 2 per cent did not know and/or chose not to respond, added the survey.
