PM directs for feeding marchers

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday issued special directives to arrange breakfast, lunch and dinner for the participants of Azadi and Inqilab Marches.
In this regard, the prime minister has formed a four-member committee comprising MNA Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Punjab Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Chairman Pakistan Baitul Maal Abid Waheed Sheikh and Ashraf Gujar.
Sources in the government informed that Premier Shairf has ordered the authorities to ensure provision of shelters and clean drinking water to the protestors. He has also directed the City Development Authority (CDA) to build temporary washrooms for the PTI and PAT activists. The IGP Islamabad Aftab Cheema has been directed to ensure all possible measures for security of the rally participants.
The PTI marchers took more than 36 hours to reach the capital as convoys made stopovers in various cities along the road, where they were warmly welcomed. Both Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri plan to hold sit-in in Islamabad until their demands for PM Nawaz Sharif's resignation and electoral reforms are met.
Meanwhile Chairperson Prime Minister's Youth Programme Maryam Nawaz on the direction of Premier Sharif is looking after the arrangements for provision of medical facilities for the sick workers of PTI and PAT.
Maryam Nawaz in her statement said the prime minister directed to provide medical aid to the sick workers, who were compelled to spend night in open sky during rain. The PM also directed to provide food for PTI and PAT workers. She said medical facilities and food items are being provided to marchers. She said Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) knows its responsibilities and is working under the PM's directives to facilitate the marchers.
