4 mules arrested with 5kg heroin, 109 kg hashish

PESHAWAR - Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Peshawar have arrested four people and recovered large quantity of drugs from their possession, said ANF officials yesterday.
In the first incident, ANF Peshawar searched a Toyota Hiace near new toll plaza, Indus Highway, Kohat and recovered 57.6 kg hashish hidden in secret cavities. An accused Zar Wali resident of Landi Kotal was taken in to custody.
In another crackdown ANF Peshawar intercepted a Car near Darband Road, Oggi Bazaar, Mansehra and recovered 9.6 kg hashish from the car. Two accused namely Abid Jan resident of Charsada and Sartaj Khan, resident of Mansehra were arrested.
Separately ANF Peshawar recovered 5 kg heroin from personal possession of an accused Muhammad Ashraf Qureshi resident of Multan in an operation conducted near Lahore Bus Stand, Peshawar. Another raid was carried out near Hangu Phatak, Kohat and a drug carrier named Muhammad Ullah resident of Kurram Agency was arrested with 1.2 Kg of hashish.
Meanwhile, ANF Peshawar Road Check Team stopped a suspected Toyota Hiace near new toll plaza Indus Highway Kohat and recovered 43.2 Kg hashish during search of the vehicle. A person on board identified as Amjad Khan resident of Kurram Agency was taken into custody. As per preliminary investigation the accused was trying to smuggle the drugs to Punjab.
ANF Peshawar Road Check Team arrested a drug trafficker Bakhtawar Khan resident of Peshawar while he was travelling on a Suzuki near new Toll Plaza, Indus Highway, Kohat. His arrest resulted in recovery of 2.4kg hashish.
