Govt, Fazl one on NAP, says Kaira

LAHORE -  PPP’s central Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira yesterday said that government was not sincere in implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) which was evident from the Commission’s report on the Quetta carnage.

“The report has vindicated PPP’s stance that Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan was giving protection to militant organisations”, he said while addressing a news conference at party’s Model Town Secretariat here.

He said that Interior Minister should respond to the Commission’s report to clear his position or take some other decision about his future.

Commenting on JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s statement that he did not care about the NAP, Kaira said it was also true of the government.

“The government and Maulana are on the same page as far as non-implementation of NAP is concerned”, he said.

The PPP leader said that Bilawal’s four point charter of demands was nothing but seeking implementation of NAP.

He condemned Speaker’s ruling on Opposition’s adjournment motion on the Panama Leaks, stating he had harmed sanctity of the Parliament.

He said that the resolution was about Prime Minister’s lie on the Assembly floor.

To a question, he said that his party would take all the Opposition parties into confidence over its planned protest movement against the government after December 27.

The PPP had united the Opposition on the issue of Panama Leaks and would do the same in its protest campaign, he added.

He said that PTI chief Imran Khan wanted the entire Opposition to follow him the way he liked.
