Decision on interim govt in a week: Shah

SUKKUR  – Federal Religious Affairs Minister Khurshid Shah on Saturday announced caretaker set-up would be finalised within a week and by March 15 the caretaker PM would be in place.

Speaking to media people‚ he said Pakistan People’s Party believed in the politics of consensus and “we are consulting all parties inside and outside the parliament, including PML-N, in this regard.”

He said it was for the first time in the history a democratic government would be completing its term, which was an encouraging sign. He revealed the PPP members who had joined PML-N had not voted to the party candidates in the Senate elections. They had already been issued show cause notices,” Shah pointed out.

Replying to a question, the PPP leader said withdrawal of cases against someone was not a rare incident; it had also happened in the past. He said alliance with MQM was at government level; in the elections every party was free to present its manifesto. He alleged thePunjabgovernment had wasted the national wealth on laptops and Tandoors.

He said PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif had no agenda in politics and PPP was not afraid of any grand alliance against it. Shah said PPP had roots among the people and would continue to serve them in accordance with its manifesto.
