HAFIZABAD - Naik Ashraf Ali who was martyred in Indian firing on the Line of Control was laid to rest with full military honour in his native graveyard in village Khurram Chorraira near here on Wednesday.
Guard of Hounour was also presented to the Shaheed by the Army contingent led by Brig Muhammad Arshad. The martyr was from 29 Baloch Regiment. The funeral prayers was attended by a large number of villagers. He had been serving in the army for the last 20 years. He got married seven years ago. He was survived by three daughter - 5-year-old Kinza, 3-year-old Alim Gul and one-and-a-half-year-old Pakiza Ashraf. Talking to the media, his mother said, “I am proud of my son and I am sure that our sons would protect our homeland at all cost with bravery and would foil the nefarious designs of the enemy.” His brothers were also determined to sacrifice their lives for the protection of the motherland. “The martyrdom of our brother has proved that we know how to protect our motherland,” they said. Brigadier Muhammad Arshad laid floral wreath at the grave of the martyr on behalf of the Army chief.
Talking to heirs of the martyr, Brigadier Muhammad Arshad said that a brother of martyr would be provide job in the army and all the incentives would be provided shortly according to the rules and regulations of the Army. He said that the Pakistan Army was ready all the time to protect the Nation and the country.
