SIALKOT - MPA Ch Tariq Akhtar Subhani on Thursday gave away cheque of Rs0.3 million as compensation on behalf of the Punjab government to Asia Bibi, widow of Shaukat Ali, a Pakistani citizen who was killed in shelling by Indian Security Forces on village Joyiaan along the Sialkot Working Boundary here in August 2013.
He also offered Fateha for the eternal peace of the deceased.
SHEEP KILLED: As many as 19 sheep were killed after a dumper truck ran over the sheep near Head Marala here on Thursday.
Reportedly, a herd of sheep was grazing in fields along main road, when a dumper truck ran over them, crushing as many as 19 sheep to death on the spot.
The Head Marala Police have registered a case against the fleeing driver.
