A police constable ended his life by shooting himself in the temple in the Mozang police area on Tuesday.
Police said Constable Faisal Jabbar left the Mozang police station on Tuesday morning and went to the Miani Sahib graveyard, where he shot himself in the temple with his gun. According to preliminary investigations, the constable was upset over some domestic issue. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating.
Appeal
A local businessman has appealed to the Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) to order the police for the early recovery of his stolen car.  Abid Chaudhry said on Tuesday that unidentified auto-lifters drove away his car (LEC-9071) from outside his house located in the (F-Block) Gulberg-II a couple of days ago. The Ghalib Market police registered the case (FIR No 671/13) but failed to arrest the thieves. The police are not seriously investigating the case, the complainant believes.
The victim has also appealed to the provincial police chief to direct the concerned police to speed up the probe and ensure the recovery of the vehicle as early as possible.–Staff Reporter
