PESHAWAR : At least five people were injured when unknown armed men hurled a hand grenade here at a house in Hayatabad area on Monday. Sources said that unknown persons hurled a hand grenade at the house owned by Mohammad Bilal son of Mohammad Parvez situated in sector C/2, Phase-V, PDA Colony. Five persons of a same family got injured in the attack. Soon after the incident, rescue team rushed towards the blast site and shifted the injured to Hayatabad Medical Complex.

 Police cordoned off the area and started a search operation in the area.
SP Faisal Kamran confirmed the incident. He said that search operation is under way and soon the culprits would be arrested. Police also tightened security after the hand grenade attack.
