5 fall prey to mishaps

Five persons including a youth were killed in separate incidents of violence and road accidents occurred in different areas here on Tuesday.
As per details, in Rahim Yar Khan, two persons died in a road accident here on Tuesday. Muhammad Jameel, 30, son of Khalil and Khalil Ahmed, 30, son of Khuda Bakhsh, residents of Feroza Town were going on a motorbike. When they reached near Thali Chowk, the motorcycle collided with another motorbike and fell down on the road. In the meantime a trailer was coming from the rear ran over them. Resultantly, Jameel and Khalil sustained injuries and died on the spot. Rescue 1122 reached the spot and handed over the dead bodies to police.
In Hafizabad, two persons were killed on the spot while 14 others sustained serious injuries when a Peshawar bound bus collided head-on with a trailer near Pindi Bhattian Interchange.
According to police source, the accident occurred due to speeding by the bus driver.
The ill-fated bus (CK-8874) was proceeding towards Peshawar from Lahore and when it reached near Pindi Bhattian Interchange, it rammed into a trailer coming from the opposite direction. Resultantly, Nazir Jan of Pehsawar and Zahid Hussain died on the spot while the injured were shifted to THQ Hospital Pindi Bhattian.
The police have registered a case against the bus driver. In Toba Tek Singh, a youth shot dead a 15-year-old donkey-cart owner over not giving him way here at Gojra.
The police said that deceased Usman, a resident of Astabal Colony, was on the way to Chak 354/JB on his cart. At Qadirabad Canal Bridge, a motorcycle Inzamam attempted to overtake him but the deceased did not give him way. At which Inzamam fired gunshots on Usman, leaving him with critical wounds. He was shifted to Gojra THQ Hospital but he succumbed to injuries. The Gojra Saddr Police have arrested a case against the accused.
