At least ten persons were killed and more than two dozen others injured in three road accidents occurred in different areas here on Sunday.
As per details, in DG Khan, five persons were killed in when a passenger van fell into a deep ditch while negotiating a sharp turn in Rakhi Gaj. Resultantly five persons died on the spot while 13 injured who were shifted to hospital.
In another incident that took place in Rahim Yar Khan, three persons were killed and more than a dozen injured when a passenger bus collided with a trailer.
Police said that a Sadiqabad-bound passenger bus, coming from Alipur collided head-on with a trailer in Rahim Yar Khan. The injured were shifted to Sadiqabad Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital where condition of some injured passengers is said to be critical.
In Sheikhupura, two persons were killed and several others injured when a van overturned due to speeding on night between Saturday and Sunday.
Rescue sources said that a private van overturned due to speeding near Mandiali area.
The dead and injured were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.
Further investigation is underway.
