Gilgit : Gilgit-Baltistan police arrested facilitators of kidnappers’ gang in Darel valley during a search operation yesterday. The gang had kidnapped two government workers two weeks back from the Valley.
SHO Darel Mir Ghani told The Nation that a resident of Darel namely Tehsildar and his wife were arrested for facilitating the kidnappers.
He said that their home was also demolished.
He said that the couple had facilitated the gang for kidnapping the government employees and also approached their families, asking them to force the government for releasing the nominated terrorists who were languishing in various prisons of G-B for the safe return of their loved ones.
The arrested facilitators had also managed telephonic conversation between terrorists and the affected families to assure them that the employees are in the custody of kidnappers. He said that police are conducting search operation for the arrest of kidnappers and release of the kidnapped employees.
