OUR STAFF REPORTER SADIQABAD - A woman who was set on fire allegedly by her husband has succumbed to injuries. Her charred body has been moved to her native village from Lahore. Shabbir Ahmad, a resident of Chak 1/P Jaitha Bhatta and husband of the victim, in connivance with his brothers Mehboob and Shafiq had sprinkled petrol and set her on fire when she was asleep for refusing to bring money from her parents. Since she had suffered critical burn injuries, She was shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital. After first aid, Latifan had been referred to Lahore by doctors in the hospital. Yesterday, she could not survive and succumbed to injuries and her body was shifted to her hometown. Later, she was laid to rest amid tears and sobs. However, the police have arrested the three accused nominated in the first information report.
