Baloch to resist foreign interference: Fazl

KHUZDAR -  Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said the people of Balochistan would strongly resist interference of foreign forces in the province.

Some foreign forces were exploiting the natural resources of Afghanistan and they now wanted their control on the natural resources of Balochistan, he said while addressing a 'peace conference' organised by the JUI-F here.

The JUI-F chief said Pakistan and China would further strengthen their historical friendship by implementing China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). "The CPEC will open doors of progress and prosperity for the people of Pakistan, especially Balochistan."

He said that the JUI-F would not allow the enemies of Pakistan to implement their nefarious designs.

"Nobody will be allowed to interfere into Balochistan. The brave people of Balochistan will not allow foreign forces to implement their hidden agenda on their land."

Fazl said that some elements were involved in promoting sectarianism in the country to divide its people, but the JUI-F would continue to resist such attempts. "No one should try to implement his agenda at gun-point in the country. There is no room for extremism and terrorism."

Senate Deputy Chairman and JUI-F Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, members of National Assembly Maulana Qamaruddin and Maulana Ameer Zaman, and ex-Governor Balochistan Fazal Agha also spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has strongly criticised the PTI leader Imran Khan for his attempts to block Islamabad, stating the issue of Panama Leaks is in the court and no attempt should be made for political gimmickry.

Talking to media persons in Quetta on Sunday, the JUI-F chief said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has himself offered for accountability despite the fact that his name is not in the Panama Leaks.

He questioned accountability of just PM while leaving others free.

He said that there is unprecedented corruption in the PTI governed Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and the party that is leading the province has no right to blame others for corruption.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman also opposed the attempts by the Opposition parties to get their TORs accepted by the government.

He said that the march to block Islamabad is part of the agenda of PTI to sabotage investment in Pakistan.
