LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notices to federal and provincial governments on a petition filed against non implementation of National Action Plan by the governments.
The court took up the case for hearing Monday.
Azhar Siddique counsel for petitioner told the court federal and Punjab governments are not implementing NAP. Implementing NAP is must to rein in terrorism, he added.
He alleged that government was indulged in lip service only rather than taking solid steps on implementation of NAP.
The counsel for the petitioner prayed the court to seek detailed report from federal and Punjab governments on implementation of NAP.
Further proceedings on the petition will take place on November 2.
