Officials directed to ensure inheritance law for women

TOBA TEK SINGH - DCO Syed Javed Iqbal said that property share inherited to women from their parents must be transferred to them in accordance with the new inheritance law.Addressing the participants of the district enforcement inheritance right committee, he warned the revenue officers of action if any woman was deprived of their inheritance right to property, adding that case would be registered against all such officials under the criminal Act. DOC Ijaz Munir Bhuller, Additional District Collector Haroon Rashid and Public Prosecutor Babar Suleman were also present on the occasion.PO ROUNDED UP: The Gojra Saddr Police arrested a proclaimed offender namely Abdul Razzaq alias Goonga here the other day. He was declared as PO two years ago in a case of attack on the houses of the Christian community by Faisalabad Anti-Terrorism Court. The incident occurred during riots in the aftermath of desecration of the holy Quran in 2009.Robbery: The bandits snatched bikes, two movie cameras and two cellphones in three different strikes here the other day.  According to police, Excise & Taxation Inspector Anjum Sohail parked his bike outside his office and when he came outside he found his bike missing. According to another report, Mumtaz Ali and Amanat Ali of village Marath were going to their village, when they were intercepted by two bandits, who snatched two movie cameras, two cellphones and bike from them. The police have registered two separate cases against unidentified accused.
