PML-N leadership’s arrogance annoys party MPs

RAWALPINDI - A few parliamentarians of ruling N-League are not happy with the way party leadership is running the affairs of the party and are seemed complaining against their indifferent attitude towards them in private meetings.
An MNA from Potohar region, who had defeated a PPP stalwart in May 11 elections, shared his serious concerns about party leadership with his close aide and people of constituency, who wanted him to initiate development works in the area, after offering fateh on the sad demise of son of a local party leader a few days ago
The MNA simply said, “The prime minister is not even giving him a few minutes for meeting since he elected to power then how can he get extra funds for development work in the area,”
he added.
The MNA even dubbed the premier as an autocrat who does not even spare time to meet his party men what to speak of listening to the complaints and grievances of his party workers. “I have been trying to have meeting with premier for the last 15 months to discuss the problems being faced by the people of my constituency but in vain,” he lamented.
And with this unprecedented situation, some of these MPs of N-League are contemplating to leave the party in sheer disappointment and join other parties to serve their people who voted them to power in May 11 general elections.
Another party MP from Potohar region, on request of not publishing his name in the story, confirmed to The Nation on Tuesday the growing concerns of the party MPs regarding the arrogance of premier towards them. He also confirmed that the MNA was in a state of great shock after his failure to get appointment from the PM for holding a meeting and to table problems of continuity before him.
A local party leader, seeking anonymity, told this scribe that all these reservations and apprehensions of the MNA, he expressed in a condolence gathering, have been brought into notice of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif and Senator Pervez Rashid.
