3 women with 3 kids killed


BAHAWALPUR - A person on Tuesday shot dead his two wives and a son while critically injured his daughter over a family dispute, whilst another women and her two daughters found dead in their house here. The resident of the 49 DB Yazman, Ashraf, allegedly killed his two wives. Asharaf got married to Khadija, his first wife, around 5 years. With his first wife, he had two children - Dua, 3, and 6 months old Hassnain. During his business stay at Faisalabad, he married Imrana around one year ago. He informed his father-in-law and uncle Ramazan of his second marriage and brought the second in his house where the first wife and children were living.
Quarrelling was the order of the day after the act of shifting of the second wife. Khadija was of the view that she was his first wife and the house was her and their children only and demanded immediate eviction of the new comer. But Ashraf refused to do so and divorce her.
On the day of the incident, he opened fire at Khadija and their children. As a result, Khadija and Hassnain died on the spot while the girl suffered injuries. They were shifted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital. Later, he also gunned down his second wife.
The police have arrested the accused when he was sitting in a bus bound for Faislabad with the instrumental. However, the condition of Dua was stated to be critical.
In another incident, Asiya, a resident of the Hassanpura Farid Gate and school teacher in the Govt Girls High School Kahror Paka was the first wife of Riaz, a convict. On Tuesday morning, Asiya and her 2 daughters were found dead in their house and Saleem was not in the house. According to the Kotwali police suspected that the first husband of the victim may be behind the killings.
