LAKKI MARWAT - ANP MPA Yasmeen Zia has said that Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has approved a project of setting up a cadet college for Lakki Marwat, which will be built near Abakhel.
She was speaking at financial assistance cheque distribution ceremony in district council hall on Tuesday. The ceremony was organised by district social welfare department wherein 165 special persons received financial assistance cheques from the female lawmaker.
DCO Nisar Ahmad, HRDO Syed Khalid Israr Shah, District Officer Social Welfare Obaidullah, Chairman District Zakat Committee Mamraiz Khan and local ANP leaders were also present. Ms Zia said that the college project would cost Rs 700m and it would provide the residents with an opportunity to equip their children with quality education.
She said that provincial government had started several projects aiming to provide special persons and women folk with all sorts of facilities. “During the last four years the government restored peace and brought normalcy to the volatile parts of the province”, she maintained, saying that the ANP lawmakers, leaders and activists rendered great sacrifices for peace and prosperity. She added that the government made special allocations for the uplift of backward areas including Lakki Marwat so as to bring them on par with developed parts of the province.
