'Efforts on to abort move for body on floods'

LAHORE - To derail the formation of a national commission on floods, the governments allied parties in the Parliament and the legislators are started their efforts, as they are advising the govt that after move, there would be no justification of neither the govt or the Parliament. According to sources, Maulana Attaur Rehman and some other National Assembly members in their letters addressed to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have expressed reservations over the proposed body, saying the elected govt and the parliamentarians should be given roles in the rehabilitation process and not to the unrepresentative personalities. On the other hand, PML-N leader Raja Zafar-ul-Haq is of the view that Nawaz Sharif had suggested the formation of the commission in the national interest but some circles are doing their best to make it controversial.
