8 PAT workers arrested

TOBA TEK SINGH : The Gojra City Police arrested on Sunday eight Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers including Tanveer, Bilal, Usman, Faiz Ahmad, Khalid, Shahid and Malik Abbas for attacking and injuring policemen.
As per details, the accused, residents of Chak 366/JB, were wanted in an FIR registered on charges of attack and injuring five policemen. The policemen carried out a raid in Chak 366/JB to arrest PAT activists to restrain them from going to Lahore for August 9. But the PAT workers attacked and pelted stones on police party as a result SHO Aftab Siddiqui and four policemen were seriously wounded while a police van was also damaged during the attack.
The police arrested eight of the accused activists wile police raids were being conducted to arrest the remaining accused PAT workers.
