ISLAMABAD- The government today requested all parliamentary leaders to bring forward names of representatives for an anti-terror plan-of-action committee.
According to details, the names given so far are PML-Q’s Mushahid Hussain Syed, ANP’s Afrasiab Khattak, PTI’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi, JUI-F’s Akram Khan Durrani, JI’s Fareed Paracha, PPP’s Qamar Zaman Kaira and Rehman Malik.
The committee is set to hold its first meeting tomorrow in the Parliament committee room.
The political leadership previously vowed to avenge the dastardly massacre of 148 people at a Peshawar school and to eliminate every single militant without discrimination.
The committee, under Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, will prepare a national plan of action against terrorism within seven days. The plan will be presented to the public after the approval of the political leadership.
