ISLAMABAD: The interim Challan for Imran Farooq murder case has been compiled, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain also convicted in the case.
According to reports, in the interim Challan of Imran Farooq murder case, the statements of suspects Muazzam Ali, Khalid Shamim and Mohsin Ali, are also included in which they have confessed to killing Imran Farooq. It is stated in the Challan that Mohsin Ali killed Imran Farooq with help of Kashif Khan and Kamran in London on 16 September 2010 while Muazzam Ali and Khalid Shamim played the role of facilitators. Senior most leader of MQM, Altaf Hussain has also been convicted of facilitating the crime along with Muhammad Anwar and Iftakhar Hussain. The names of three suspects have been marked as arrested in the Challan while Altaf Hussain and four others have been showed as not-arrested. The Challan will be presented in special court of Anti-Terrorism on 21st of December.
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing Imran Farooq murder case has reportedly cracked the case and as per the report of a private TV channel, the conspiracy to murder was hatched in Pakistan and the United Kingdom (UK).
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad has remanded all three suspects of the case into Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) custody for 7 days.
According to details, the JIT started questioning the suspects on June 26 where the suspects had confessed that the conspiracy to murder Imran Farooq was hatched in Pakistan and the UK by Altaf Hussain, Muhammad Anwar, Iftikhar Hussain, Moazam, Mohsin and Khalid.
The report says that Khalid Shamim and Moazam Ali had sent Kashif and Mohsin to London. They murdered Imran Farooq on September 16, 2010 at Green Lane in London. The FIA had registered the fresh case on the basis of the same report.
