SARGODHA - The District Administration imposed a ban on the sale of POL products at illegal shops and petrol agencies across the district. According to the official sources, the illegal sale of petrol and petroleum products, in violation of Petroleum Act 1934 and Petroleum Rules 1937, has become a potential threat to the life and property of citizens as prerequisite security measures are not being adopted by the agency holders.
The District Administration imposed a ban under section 144 CrPC on the sale of POL (Petrol, Oil & Lubricants) products at makeshift and local shops within the revenue limits of the district for a period of two months.
