Old enmity leaves five dead in Pindi
 
 
 

RAWALPINDI - Five persons including two real brothers were killed and a man sustained injuries when their rivals launched armed attack over some old enmity at Madina Town near Saddat Marble Factory on Misrial Road, the area of Police Station (PS) Naseerabad, here on Friday.
Those murdered were identified as Sher Ali (20) and Hazrat Ali (25), the sons of Zar Khan, Zarghoon (25) and Sedar Azam (20) while injured as Moeen (40).
Rescue 1122 and police shifted the dead and injured to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem and cure.
The local police said that three motorcyclists loaded with arms stormed into the house of Zar Khan and opened fire, which resulted in the death of five persons and injury to Moeen. The assailants after firing escaped from the scene, the police said.
The police said that both the groups belonged to Jalalabad, Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the firing incident spread waves of fear in the locality as business community shut down their shops and went home. A heavy contingent of police led by SP Potohar and ASP Cantt Circle rushed to the crime scene.
Efforts were being made by police to arrest the fleeing killers by placing security checks at all the exit points of the district. No complainant appeared before police to file case till the filing of this report.
