The First Information Report was registered on petition filed by Malik Munsif Awan of the Pakistan Justice Party today.

Banners were put up in various cities including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Hyderabad after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif returned from London after around 48 days following his open-heart surgery.

Leadership of the party has denied the charges and stated that their messages have been misconstrued.

For now, the chairman of the party is on a protective bail against surety bond of Rs 20,000 and the Islamabad High Court has summoned him along with his associates on July 22 while the respondents in the case are Inspector General of Police and Interior Ministry.
