ISLAMABAD A single-member bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) comprising Justice Mohammad Anwar Kasi on Friday directed Attorney General (AG) to submit reply till June 20 with regard to a petition against arrest of an American national. Banoshay Khan has filed the petition against the illegal arrest of her husband. Counsel of the petitioner Abdul Rehman Swati informed the court that the husband of his client Mathew Kraig Berait was a American national. Law enforcement agencies arrested him when he was on his way to Jahangira of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Furthermore, the counsel told the court that Methew had been residing in Pakistan since last four years. He got married to Banoshay Khan and is having two kids from her. Last year investigation department has declared him clear. The counsel pleaded the court that case registered against the husband of his client should be quashed and the order of his released should be issued.
