ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought replies from the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and others on a petition challenging the appointment of Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Kabir Ahmad Khan.
A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi took up a petition filed by Chaudhry Tanvir, who said that the appointment of a retired bureaucrat as MD was in violation of rules which also deprived serving bureaucrats from being appointed on the seat. He requested the court to pass an order doing away with the appointment.
The court after issuing notices to the respondents adjourned the hearing till the next date to be fixed by the office.
