‘PPP rule harming country’

QUETTA - Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) president Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti on Saturday said if the PPP-led government further remained in power the situation of Pakistan would worsen than Iraq and Libya.
Addressing a news conference in Bugti house, he alleged “On March 17th, 2005 General (r) Pervez Musharraf brutally killed more than 60 innocent people, including women and children, through shelling in Dera Bugti.”
“We have collected all the facts in this regard and will send the CDs having the proofs of shelling to all ambassadors in Islamabad,” he informed.
He alleged that the military operation was still continued in different parts of Dera Bugti. He said that, however, they had no complete information about the casualties because the area was completely cut off with the rest of the country. He also alleged that Musharraf was the murderer of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, requesting media for not inviting him for interviews.
He said “The situation of country was worsening day by day while President Zardari and Interior Minister Rehman Malik were misleading the people about Balochistan’s issue.” “Seeking mere apology from Balochs by the rulers is nothing but a fraud,” he added.
He said that he wanted to go to Dera Bugti which was his ancestral town, adding that he was not allowed to go there. About long march towards Dera Bugti, he said that his son Shahzain Bugti should have consulted him before giving a call for long march towards Dera Bugti.
Meanwhile, scores of JWP activists staged a demonstration in front of the Quetta Press Club to protest March 17th tragedy. They were carrying placards and banners and chanting slogans against the military operation. They also demanded for the arrest of Musharraf and an end to the alleged military operation in Balochistan.
