VEHARI - A poor tenant has put his children on sale in protest against cheating him out of his land and negligence of the Revenue and Auqaf departments.
Hundreds of people gathered in front of district courts to express solidarity with him and protest against highhandedness of the Revenue and Auqaf departments.
As per detail, Allah Ditta, son of Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Zaheerabad Shaheed Garha Morr protesting along with his wife Kauser Mi, Manzoor Ahmad, Ghulam Sarwar, Abdul Sattar and Shamim Sarwer said that he was cultivating two acres of land, owned by the Auqaf Department since 1974 on lease.
 He alleged that two local influential persons namely Sharif Muhana and Sadiq Tita deceived him into signing a document on the pretext of aid from the Usher and Zakat Department and transferred the two acres of land into their names with the connivance of patwari Kazim Shah. He alleged that the accused were part of an organised land mafia which worked in collision with patwaris and intimidated and threatened poor people.
 “I want to sale two of my children to give bribe to Patwari to release my land,” he appealed and demanded the authorities concerned to take notice of handedness and provide him with justice.
