Two caught smuggling 32 precious birds

PESHAWAR - The Airport Security Force (ASF) along with a special team arrested two persons and recovered 32 precious birds being smuggled at Bacha Khan Airport here on Saturday.
On directives of Chief Controller Wildlife Department, Mubarik Ali Shah, a team of the department under the supervision of sub-division officer Sardar Ali Khan in assistance with the ASF recovered 32 precious birds from two passengers traveling from Karachi to Peshawar. The security personnel took the Australian and US origin precious birds stated to be worth more than Rs10 million into custody and arrested the accused. However, the detainees claimed that they haven't done any thing unlawful as they purchased the birds to keep them at pet home.
