ISLAMABAD - State Minister Sardar Shahjahan Yousuf has said that new service structure introduced through a Presidential Ordinance for health professionals would be abolished before sending it to the Parliament for approval. The incumbent State Minister for Technical Training and Vocational Education and former Minister of State for Health Sardar Shahjahan Yousuf remarked this at a function held here on Thursday. The Joint Action Committee of Employees of Federal Government Hospitals, Islamabad had organised the Eid Milan party to show their strength against the new service structure. The minister said the service structure has not been presented before the parliament and as the majority of the employees have rejected it so it would be rejected before its submission in the parliament. Its important to mention here that new Career Structure for Health Personnel needs the approval of parliament for its implementation and the employees have challenged it in the court. Dr Khaliq-uz-Zaman, a neurosurgeon at PIMS, said on the protests and strike of students against new structure was introduced and despite prolonged strike of 36 days, the administration did not take any action against them.
