ISLAMABAD - Rear Admiral Sayyid Khawar Ali has been promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral with immediate effect, says a press release issued here on Wednesday.Vice Admiral Sayyid Khawar Ali joined Pakistan Navy in 1972 in the Operations Branch.Vice Admiral Khawar has rich experience of various command and staff appointments. His major appointments include Commander Air at PNS Mehran Karachi, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Plans), Naval Secretary, Commander Naval Aviation, Director General Joint Warfare and Training at the Joint Staff HQ and Commander Karachi. Presently the Flag Officer is serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Training & Evaluation) at Naval Headquarters Islamabad.He is qualified Principal Warfare Officer from UK and Tactical Coordinator from France. He is a graduate of Armed Forces War Course and holds MBA from IBA and MA degrees from Deakin University Australia and Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad.
