Baloch sees US hand in Upper Dir episode

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Secretary General Liaqat Baloch said on Tuesday that the federal and provincial governments were not sincere in holding local government elections, demanding them to announce date for the holding of the LG elections forthwith.
Talking to journalists here on Tuesday, the head of JI's political committee added that the so-called flag bearers of democracy kept the masses deprived of their basic need of local government institutions while the current rulers also followed in their footsteps. He declared that the JI would fully participate in local government elections as the provincial organisations of all four provinces were asked to evolve effective strategy for the polls.
Referring to recent incident in which a Maj Gen and other officials of Pak Army were martyred, he said that it could be American conspiracy as there were strong chances that the US would sabotage the environment created through All Parties Conference for evolving national consensus on holding talks with the fighting groups. He added that the entire nation was sad over the martyrdom of army men and the time had come to get rid of American slavery. He asked the government to bring entire nation on the same page against American drone attacks, violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and any other foreign intervention. He asked the government not to surrender before American and Indian conspiracy.
METRO BUS SERVICE IN MULTAN: Federal Minister for Food Security Malik Sikandar Hayat Bosan disclosed that Metro Bus service will be launched in Multan with the collaboration of Turkey very soon.
Talking to a delegation of local workers, he added that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif wanted to develop Multan on the pattern of Lahore. He said that Multan would be beautified and brought on par with other developed cities of the country. He disclosed that a number of new development projects for Multan were in the pipeline. 
He said that the prime minister was determined to get the masses rid of problems and government's first 100-days performance was reflective of its commitments. He asked the workers to start preparations for local government elections. He claimed that Multan would prove a fortress of PML-N in upcoming local government polls.
Rs10m funds: Twelve development schemes worth Rs10 million out of local PML-N MNA grant will be executed in the city, said Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran President Muhammad Younas while talking to newsmen here on Thursday.
He informed that MNA Ali Hassan Gillani had come to his office and announced allocation of Rs10 million grant for the uplift of city Ahmedpur East on the recommendations of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran. He informed that Markazi Anuman-e-Tajran had proposed 12 schemes pertaining to sewage and roads and the TMA engineers had subsequently completed the survey of the schemes. He stated that the trading community would propose more schemes to PM-N MPA Qazi Adnan Farid and Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif would be invite to Ahmedpur East so the longstanding demands of this backward area could be resolved.
