Compensatory amount to be paid to flood victims before Eid-ul-Azha: Shahbaz

MULTAN- Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited flood-affected areas of tehsil Shujabad in district Multan today and reviewed relief and rehabilitation activities.

Addressing flood affectees, the chief minister said that compensatory amount would be paid to the affectees before Eid-ul-Azha. He said that political leadership, Pakistan Army, administration and concerned departments would continue their relief activities till the complete rehabilitation of flood victims.
Shahbaz said that instead of helping the distressed people, Imran Khan arranges music shows in the evening for which people of Punjab will never forgive him.

Earlier, presiding over a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Flood Relief in Lahore, Punjab CM Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed early survey of losses in flood-hit areas. He said work on rehabilitation of infrastructure damaged by the flood has been started on emergency basis. The meeting reviewed relief and rehabilitation activities in Gujranwala division through video link. The chief minister directed the departments concerned to take all preventive measures to protect affected districts from viral diseases.
