Every affected person of the Multan Metro Bus Project will be paid every single penny of their compensation.
Talking to a delegation of traders, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Zahid Saleem Gondal said that the compensation would be paid to the owners of properties according to government rate. He stressed upon the people to cooperate with the metro administration so that the project could be accomplished within time limit.
He said that the designing of road between Mumtazabad and BCG Chowk took very long as a result of which a little delay took place. Responding to a demand from the traders regarding change in the design of the rotary, he said that it would cause delay in the project besides additional financial burden. “Keeping in view these aspects, we cannot change the design of the rotary,” he added. He assured the traders that their all genuine issues would be resolved.
FIF preparing 100,000 rescue, relief volunteers: Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) is imparting rescue training to 100,000 volunteers while one rescue centre is being set up at every 50 kilometre between Peshawar and Karachi as well as Quetta and Gawadar.
This was disclosed by Hafiz Abdul Rauf, chairman FIF, while addressing the concluding session of two-day rescue workshop here the other day.
He added that the conspiracies of separatists and terrorists died down in Balochistan and Sindh due to the relief projects of FIF and Pakistani flag is being hoisted in these areas. He said that the foreign-funded NGOs posed direct threat to national security. He stressed upon the welfare organisations to do public welfare work to protect the country from the conspiracies of the NGOs.
He declared that the FIF would sacrifice animals worth Rs180 million on Eidul Azha for the oppressed Muslims of Burma, Ghaza, Syria, Kashmir and Afghanistan. He added that the meat of sacrificial animals would also be distributed among flood-hit residents of Sindh, Balochistan, KPK and Punjab.
He disclosed that the FIF resolved the issue of drinking water in 800 areas of Sindh and Balochistan while it run ambulance service in 131 cities. He added that a big network of dispensaries and hospitals had also been established by the FIF.
Jamaatud Dawa leader Mian Sohail Ahmad, PML-N leader Hamza Shahid Lodhi, PPP representative Mian Abdullah, Abu Bakkar Hassan, Haji Riaz and others also spoke on this occasion.
Earlier, over 80 volunteers completed the rescue course and exhibited their fire fighting, first aid, water rescue and other skills.
