PTI decision to quit assemblies bad for democracy- Zardari

Islamabad- Former president Asif Ali Zardari has called the PTI’s decision to quit assemblies a bad omen for democracy in Pakistan.
Pakistan People’s Party’s Spokesman Farhatullah Babar talking to media in Islamabad was quoting the party’s Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari who at present staying in London. Babar said that the PPP was holding consultations with other opposition parties over the issue. The PPP will contact with the government to defuse tensions and ensure democratic continuity in the country. Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the PPP leadership to Dubai to consult over the political crisis in Pakistan. Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani has also expressed fears about the future of democratic process in the country in case of violence in Islamabad during the PTI and PAT protests.
