54 shops gutted

PESHAWAR: At least 54 shops were partially damaged when a fire broke out in Niarahgar Market of Sarafa Bazaar in Jurisdiction of Khan Raziq Police Station on Saturday morning.
Rescue Spokesman Bilal Ahmad Faizi said that the fire was erupted due to short circuit, which badly damaged the wooden parts of the building. The blast caused damage to around 54 shops and property worth million of rupees. Soon after the eruption of fire, rescue ambulances and fire fighters rushed to the site and get control over it in seven hours time. –Staff Reporter
The rescue operation was supervised by Director Operation Dr Muhammad Ayaz and In-charge Fire Emergency Waseem Iqbal. Around 15 fire fighter vehicles, 50 personnel of rescue 1122 participated while two water tanks were used in the rescue operation.
