SHOs told no room for corruption

The district police have directed the station house officers of Nankana Sahib areas to ensure arrest of criminals involved in heinous crimes otherwise they will have to face a strict disciplinary action.
Reviewing the performance of SHOs, District Police Officer Abdul Gaffar said that a disciplinary action would be taken against those found involved in negligence regarding public complaints. He also appreciated the performance of those policemen who are conducting effective crackdown on absconders. He asked the SHOs to arrest those involved in running gambling den, brothels or selling narcotics. Arrest of criminals involved in such heinous crimes be ensured, he said.
He said that an effective strategy was vital to control crime, and ordered professional and responsible attitude to mitigate the sufferings of people. He directed the provision of maximum relief to citizens and immediate registration of FIRs. He said the police officials delaying registration of cases and doing sluggish investigation would not be spared. He said that he will not tolerate corruption and purge corrupt police officials from the police force. He also directed them to improve their performance and address grievances of the masses on merit to win the confidence and support of the people. He said that detaining the family members of a criminal in a bid to create pressure to arrest him should not be made at any cost. He said that the behaviour of police towards law-abiding people be fatherly and strict towards anti-social elements. "In case of law and order particularly involving poor and hapless, the behaviour of cops should not be just decent but appropriate action also be taken for immediate relief," he said.
