Five security men die in road accident
 
 
 

SARGODHA - At least five security personnel died and four sustained injuries as a result of a collision between an army vehicle and a truck on Sargodha-Jhang Road.
The security personnel were coming back after offering funeral prayers of Saheed Lance Naik Sabir Hussain at his village Dherowal of Sargodha district, who embraced martyrdom at Pind Araian, Lahore, during a clash with terrorists on Thursday.
When their vehicle reached near Pathankot village, it collided with a truck. As a result, Naib Khateeb Ehsanul Haq, 40, Naik Sultan, 34, Naik Asghar, 35, Naik Asif, 35, and soldier Adnan, 31, were killed while Hawaldar Shoaib, Iqbal, Farrukh and Sanaullah were injured and shifted to CMH Sargodha.
Later, the deceased security personnel were laid to rest in their ancestral areas with full military honour on Friday. A large number of army and civil officers participated in their funeral prayers.
Earlier, Shaheed Lance Naik Sabir Hussain was laid to rest at village Dherowal of Sargodha district with full military honour. Punjab Minister for Minerals Sher Ali Khan represented the chief minister and laid a flower wreath on the shaheed’s grave.
 while Sargodha Commissioner Capt (r) Muhammad Asif, Regional Police Officer Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir, Col Waseem, DCO Saquib Manan, DPO Raja Basharat Mehmood, social, political dignitaries and people of area also attended the funeral prayers
Meanwhile, flowers wreaths on behalf of the President of Pakistan, the prime minister, the army chief, DG MI and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee were also laid on his grave.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif condoled the deaths of five intelligence agency personnel. The deceased and the injured belonged to Air Defence Corps.
