Washington- Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani has appreciated mountaineers Samina Baig and Ali Baig for raising Pakistani flag on the highest peaks around the world.
Talking to them during a meeting in Washington, Jalil Abbas Jilani said Samina has written history in the field of sports and especially in mountaineering by scaling Mount Everest. Samina and Ali Baig are currently on an expedition to climb Mount Mckinley, highest peak in the United States. The Ambassador also acknowledged Samina Baig and Ali Baig for their commitment to the promotion of girls’ education in Hunza and for their work on empowering women in Pakistan.
