PTI, JI refuse dinner invtie from Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inasf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) refused to attend former president Asif Ali Zardari’s Iftar dinner today.
According to Senator Farhatullah Babar, there has been no contact between Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Zardari about the dinner.
Zardari had invited political leaders of the country for a dinner after he held a much talked about press conference in which he criticised the Pakistan Army and the government.
Formal invites were also sent to JI, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and PTI however, JI and PTI have refused to attend the event.
Earlier, Zardari called on MQM chief Altaf Hussain and both the leaders stressed the need to get united for national interests.
