ORAKZAI AGENCY - At least 12 militants were killed and six sustained injuries after military jets pounded their positions in Orakzai Agency here on Monday.
At around 11am, fighter planes targeted militant hideouts at Chappar locality in Mamozai tehsil of Orakzai, killing 12 insurgents and wounding six others while four of their hideouts were destroyed. Due to the ongoing military operation in the area, the tribesmen have started evacuating.
 The military and paramilitary forces have been fighting in Orakzai for last some years and they have killed insurgents in large numbers and destroyed their hideouts. The civil administration has been claiming that over 90 percent area of the Agency has been cleared of the militants, but militant presence remains strong in many pockets.
