Books, art, literature lovers throng festival

The Lyallpur Literature and Art Festival (LL&LF) being held at University of Agriculture attracted a large number books, art and literature lovers on its second on Tuesday.
The UAF, wearing festive look, remained a hub of cultural activities. The festival featured Book Fair, Qiraat and Naat Competition, Bilingual Declamation, Punjabi Takra, Quiz Competition, Mushaira & Bait Bazi Competition, Folk Songs Competition, Painting Competition, drama contests and many more.
As per results of Punjabi Takra, Muhammad Asim from the Punjab University, Lahore bagged the first position whereas Muhammad Umer from Government College University Faisalabad got the second position and Hassan Raza from the Government College University Lahore   stood third.
As many as 40 universities and colleges across the country are participating in it. The UAF remained the centre of attraction for the locals who thronged the campus to have a delight of the art and literary events.
Wednesday programmes include Quiz Competition at 9:00am at Iqbal Auditorium and Mushaira & Bait Bazi Competition at 4:00pm at Iqbal Auditorium. On Thursday, Folk song competition at 9:00am and drama competition will be held at 4:00pm at Iqbal Auditorium. On Friday, the drama competition will be held at 9:00 am and closing ceremony to be held at 5:00pm at Iqbal Auditorium.
