CHENAB NAGAR- Sargodha Express collided with a truck at Chenab Nagar as the truck was crossing the railway line at Darul Nasar area.
As a result, the truck split into two portions. The driver seat remained unhurt but three persons sitting on the front seat got severe injuries and were taken to the hospitals where they are in critical situation.
The train driver was also injured and taken to a hospital. The unmanned gate has taken many precious lives in the last decade. Almost every year, a fatal accident takes place. Railway authorities were many times approached to build a proper gate but to no avail.
