Quetta: A policeman of the Rapid Response Group (RRG) was killed and four others were injured in an improvised explosive device blast in Quetta on Thursday.
A vehicle of the RRG carrying five personnel was passing through the Eastern Bypass area of Quetta when an IED planted near Bakra Mandi went off that left Atta Muhammad dead on the spot and injured Instructor Abdul Razzaq, Constable Sabir Hussain, sepoy Sanaullah and sepoy Abdul Waheed.
The dead and the injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital Quetta.
SSP Saryab Zahoor Ahmed said that over 4 kilograms of explosives were used in the IED detonated thorough a remote control device.
